Did The First Christians see God Face to Face?
There is a paragraph in the bible says ((Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father)) and this contrasts with the paragraph which says ((no one can see God and live)).
Jesus knew himself to be "one with the father". He realized his true Self, which does not contradict the saying "no one can see God and live" but validates it.
God is spirit and not the flesh. Nothing of this world is God. This is the world of matter.
The person Jesus was the body, but Jesus realized that he was not his body, nor his name, nor his age, nor his mother's son, nor of this world but one with the father. With other words he realized he too was Spirit and that there were not many spirits but One spirit: The totality of the absolute. This is how Jesus overcame the physical realm, preformed miracles and was able to walk on water. For as you believe...so be it done.
